Early life and education
Ma was born on fifteen October 1964 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China. He began learning English at a young age by conversing with English-speakers at Hangzhou international edifice.He would ride seventy miles on his bicycle to relinquish tourists tours of the world to follow his English for 9 years. He became pen friends with one amongst those foreigners, United Nations agency nicknamed him "Jack" as a result of he found it onerous to pronounce his Chinese name.[14]
Later in his youth, Ma struggled attending school. The Chinese entrance exams ar command just once a year and Ma took four years to pass. Ma attended Hangzhou Teacher's Institute (currently referred to as Hangzhou traditional University) and graduated in 1988 with a B.A. in English.[15][16] whereas in class, Ma was head of the scholar council.[17] when graduation, he became a tutor in English and International Trade at Hangzhou Dianzi University. He later registered at the Beijing-based Cheung Kong grad school of Business and graduated in 2006.[18]
